Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland is a grassroots environmental campaigning community. From our campaigners and lawyers to local groups and supporters, we push for change on causes that matter to you. This includes protecting your local area and making it more climate friendly, pushing for a green and fair recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and fighting for environmental and social justice globally.

Friends of the Earth is the biggest grassroots environmental campaigning community in the world. It covers 75 countries – from Norway to Australia, from South Korea to Colombia. We have around 5,000 local activist groups and over 2 million members and supporters worldwide. All of them doing incredible things for a healthier, fairer world.

We’re looking for a kickstarter who is a good communicator to support our Individual Giving team in administration of their fundraising projects. You will support all aspects of our project management, including: reporting on fundraising results, writing copy for Thank You letters, managing stock for our Bee Saver Kits, communicating with our supporters and data administration.

You will report directly to the Supporter Experience Manager and support the projects of our Individual Giving Officers, who manage a range of fundraising projects that inspire normal people to give small donations en masse via Social Media, Email, Phone and Post.

This role will give you the experience and understanding you’ll need to start a career in Individual Giving and Events fundraising and give you an insight into effective project management. You will gain skills in creative writing and content development, analysing results and data, using databases, data protection and how to work effectively with processes across multiple teams. Although no qualifications are available in this role, you will be encouraged to attend ad-hoc training and seminars throughout the placement, for which we have a small budget. You will also get a unique insight into how an environmental campaigning organisation, like Friends of the Earth operates.
