We are looking for an experienced and inspired fundraiser to manage our individual giving supporter recruitment programme. As IG Supporter Recruitment Manager you will manage the programme, leading the development and implementation of the strategy to maximise the value of our donor recruitment activity.
This role requires a confident fundraiser with a solid grasp of all supporter recruitment channels and an understanding of retention and development channels, You’ll need a track record of successful recruitment fundraising from individuals, either donor recruitment or retention or in cold direct marketing within the commercial sector as well as experience of driving effective direct marketing activity.
The role is in the supportive and friendly Individual Giving (IG) team, which sits within the Fundraising directorate. The IG team consists of eight roles:
Head of Individual Giving
Individual Giving Supporter Recruitment Manager
Individual Giving Supporter Experience Manager
Individual Giving Innovation Manager
Individual Giving Officer x 4
The programme covers a diverse range of activities and techniques. This includes Supporter Recruitment activity such as paid social, inserts and conversion emails as well as a testing programme for new activity. Our Supporter Experience programme includes cash appeals, upgrade, reactivation, supporter magazines, e-appeals and retention activity. The programme has evolved hugely over the past few years, with a big increase in our digital activity and collaboration with campaign teams to create compelling and integrated plans.
Each Individual Giving Officer manages a selection of projects across recruitment and experience, rotating many on an annual basis as agreed across the team. The Supporter Recruitment Manager line-manages two Individual Giving Officers and project sponsors all Supporter Recruitment projects.
