We’re looking for a highly skilled Website and Editorial Manager to lead Friends of the Earth’s web content planning and production. You will deliver a new web strategy, maintain high editorial standards across the organisation, and line manage two Website and Editorial Officers. You will be responsible for developing high quality content for our bold new climate and nature campaigns, in support of our ambitious organisational objectives. You will be joining the biggest grassroots environment movement at a critical point and will have the opportunity to make a real impact in this role.
Key Skills and Attributes:
You have solid experience and understanding of web strategy, web content design, user journeys, and using data and audience insight to create targeted content. You have meticulous copywriting and editorial skills, a good knowledge of SEO best practice and audiovisual storytelling. You are collaborative and develop strong relationships with stakeholders, while also working well with a high level of autonomy. You can work in a quick-response environment, prioritising competing demands effectively and meeting emerging needs in a timely manner. You are also a confident line manager, inspiring your team to deliver high-quality outputs.
The Content and Creative team at Friends of the Earth is key to the delivery of our vision for a fairer, greener planet for all. We work across campaigning, fundraising and engagement projects, ensuring our web, design and film content is performing well and contributing to real world impact. We also ensure our network of thousands of local activists is well-resourced and supported to campaign effectively in their communities.
